(February 28, 1939 to October 29, 2010 ) Resident of Paris, Texas Visitation Information: The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the Funeral Home. Obituary: Clara Modene Chandler, age 71, of Paris, Texas, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010, in Paris Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Chandler was born February 28, 1939, in Maud, Texas, to Robert and Oreva Higginbothem Autrey. She married Jerry Chandler on March 4, 1966. She was retired from the Red River Army Depot. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Chandler of Paris; one son, Ben Chandler of Avery; daughters, Lana Harvey of Paris and Rhonda Beazley of Trenton; sisters, Karen Autrey, Mary Lou Strickland, and Susan Lewis all of Maud; and 5 grandchildren. Services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Deport under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jake Chandler, Joe Chat Beazley, Larry Robbins, John Womack, Steve Bell and Lynn Lewis. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the Clarkville Funeral Home. Jerry and children; So sorry for your loss, she was a beautiful, sweet lady and will be missed by all. I FIRST MET MODENE IN 1962 WHEN I WORKED WITH HER AT RRAD. SHE WAS A VERY FRIENDLY & OUTGOING PERSON AND WE HAD SOME FUN TIMES WORKING TOGETHER. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE FAMILY
