Obituary:
Lois Jean “Jean” Carroll, age 59, of New Orleans, Louisiana, formerly of Avery, passed away, Wednesday, October 6, 2010, in New Orleans. She was in the Real Estate Profession and also had her Masters of Education.

Lois was born October 13, 1950, in Clarksville to Loyce Edwin and Opal Brooks Carroll. She was a member of Avery United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and step father, Willie Smedley.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her mother, Opal Smedley of Ferriday, Louisiana; a sister, June Hines and husband Jim of Reno; one aunt, Frances Brooks of Pittsburg; one brother, Edwin Carroll of Ferriday, Louisiana; four nieces, two nephews, several great nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in the United States and China.

I have such fond memories or Jeanie & am so sorry to hear of her death. I haven't seen or heard from her in many years but will still miss just knowing she's no longer there. Your family is in my prayers.
